Today the National Audit Office has published a report revealing that the Government has no real “national picture of what [police] forces need”, “no common standards for measuring all demands for police services” and that, as a result, the existing funding formula for police services is not fit for purpose. The report says that “there are signs emerging that forces are finding it harder to deliver an effective service” and this is something Steve McCabe MP (Birmingham, Selly Oak) says is reflected in the experiences of his constituents.

Ahead of works set to start on the Selly Park North Flood Scheme the Environment Agency will be holding two drop in information sessions.
The Environment Agency have confirmed that they will be starting work on the Selly Park North flood scheme at the end of March/beginning of April 2017.
The Selly Park North Flood Scheme has been approved at Planning Committee, 13 October 2016.
