Steve McCabe MP stood up in Parliament during Education Questions on Monday to congratulate Johanne Clifton, staff and all the pupils at Billesley Primary School on achieving OUTSTANDING in all categories a their recent Ofsted inspection
Steve gave a special thanks to the brilliant Headteacher, Johanne Clifton who has done so much to improve the School.
The MP also had a warning for the Education Secretary and said schools like Billesley need adequate resources to maintain such brilliant standards and even they are struggling due to funding cuts from the Government.
Steve McCabe MP said:
“Congratulations to all the fantastic staff and pupils at Billesley Primary School on their outstanding Ofsted report. I am glad that Ofsted have recognised the hard work and dedication of Johanne Clifton, all the staff and teachers and of course the pupils who are a credit to Billesley.
“While schools like Billesley are achieving brilliant results against the odds, funding for our schools is still a huge issue with many schools forced to close early on a Friday. If we want to support our schools to continue to achieve brilliant results like they do in Billesley we need to provide teachers with the resources so they can do their jobs.”
