Steve McCabe MP and Jason Isaacs ‘Make Every Daffodil Count’ for Marie Curie this March

Steve McCabe MP, Birmingham Selly Oak, and Harry Potter actor Jason Isaacs have joined forces to ‘Make Every Daffodil Count’this March and help Marie Curie provide care and support to people living with a terminal illness.

Steve and Jason pledged their support together with Marie Curie nurses to the Great Daffodil Appeal, Marie Curie’s biggest annual fundraising campaign. They are encouraging local people to help the charity raise more money than ever before by simply giving a donation and wearing a Marie Curie daffodil pin.

The daffodil pins are available from volunteers across the country, or Superdrug, Spar and Poundworld stores, and Wyevale Garden Centres throughout March.  Morrisons supermarkets will also be holding Great Daffodil Appeal fundraising collections on 10, 11 & 12 March.

Marie Curie is the UK’s leading charity for people with any terminal illness. The charity helps people living with a terminal illness and their families make the most of the time they have together by delivering expert hands-on care, emotional support, research and guidance. Marie Curie employs more than 2,700 nurses, doctors and other healthcare professionals, and with its nine hospices around the UK, is the largest provider of hospice beds outside the NHS.

Steve McCabe MP said:

“I’m proud to support the Great Daffodil Appeal, this fundraising campaign only happens once a year but I think it is really important we do what we can to support it so that people who are living with a terminal illness get the support they need at the end of life. I would encourage people in my constituency to show their support by either giving a donation, volunteering at a local collection or wearing a daffodil pin during March.”
