It’s New Year but will Baverstock Academy get a new start?

Local MP Steve McCabe is yet again calling on the Government to commit to rescuing Baverstock Academy which is facing closure and give it the new start it deserves.

Steve McCabe MP has been demanding that the Department for Education and the Regional Schools Commissioner honour their promise and find a new sponsor to save the school.

Steve McCabe MP said:

“Instead of putting up rail fares the Government should be putting up the money to save Baverstock Academy. It is shameful that over 6 months since the School’s future was first plunged into uncertainty the Government is still dragging its feet and putting the education of hundreds of local children at risk.

“Does the Government even care about the young people in Druids Heath? Their appalling attitude towards Baverstock suggests they don’t.”
