£2000 up for grabs for charity or community group in need

Steve McCabe MP is encouraging well deserving charities and community groups across his constituency to take part in an exciting £2000 give away.

Building equipment suppliers Actavo Direct are searching the nation for a community project to donate £2000 worth of equipment, labour or building materials to.

According to new research from Actavo Direct more than half of Brits (58%) have volunteered in their local community over the past year.  One of the biggest barriers to taking part in local projects was not being aware of the community projects in their area.

CEO of Actavo, Structural Division, Roger Hastie, said:

“We are currently looking to donate to a worthy community cause. We feel it is important for people to get engaged with their local communities and make the time to give something back.”

Steve McCabe MP added:

“Taking part in local community groups can be a hugely rewarding experience. I work closely with a wide range of fantastic charities and community groups across Selly Oak and have seen first-hand some of the great work they are doing. I know there are plenty of well deserving groups that could put this money to good use and would encourage them all to try and take advantage of this fantastic opportunity.”
