Steve McCabe MP Celebrates Popular Family Restaurant

Steve McCabe MP for Birmingham Selly Oak visited Royal Wantan Kashmiri Restaurant on Pershore Road who were highly commended in the Tiffin Cup 2019.  

Steve met with the restaurant’s owner Imran Ali and chatted about the success the restaurant has had since it was opened by his father, Mr Ditta in 1984. This is truly a family business with Imran’s brother cooking up a range of specialties, including their grandma’s amazing Lassawalla Gosht   

Steve nominated Royal Wantan Kashmiri for the 2019 Tiffin Cup, a parliamentary competition which recognises the best South Asian restaurants across the country. Royal Wantan Kashmiri were highly commended in the competition and received a certificate and apron for their achievement.   

Imran Ali, Manager of Royal Wantan Kashmiri said:  

“I was pleased to meet with Steve McCabe MP and be presented with our certificate for the Tiffin Cup 2019. It is great that our family business and all the hard work of our brilliant staff has been recognised.” 

Steve McCabe MP said:
